Francis Santoianni completed his Civil Law degree at the University of Ottawa and was admitted to the Quebec Bar Association in 2004. He has been working with Charness, Charness and Charness ever since. Francis has experience pleading cases in all levels of the courts. With his main focuses being Civil Litigation, Corporate and Commercial Law as well as Penal and Matrimonial, Francis has run his own team of attorneys since 2007 that specialize in these aspects of the law.

Murray Sklar specializes in tax, corporate and estate law (wills and trusts). Having
obtained his B.SC at McGill University and later received his Law degree at the University of Ottawa for both Civil (LL.L) and Common Law (LL.B) (cum laude) Murray is now a member of the Quebec Bar Association. Murray has a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University. As a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Fiscal and Financial Planning Association (APFF) Murray sits on the editorial board of the CCH publication “Canadian Estate Administration Guide” he writes regularly for the CCH monthly newsletter “Willpower”. Murray is also an acclaimed writer and speaker for the Quebec Bar Association, the AQAADI (the Quebec Association of Immigration Lawyers), the APFF, the Accountants’ Study Group, the Financial and Estate Planning Council of Montreal, the Montreal Gazette and various other groups and organizations.

He currently specializes in US work permits and US immigration matters. He provides a wealth of knowledge garnered in over 35 years of experience.

Joshua Zlotnick STAGIER, obtained his LL.B. in 2011 from the Université de Montréal, directly out of CEGEP, and his J.D. in American and Canadian Common Law. He has earned both civil and common law degrees and has passed the Ontario Bar exams.In addition the World Intellectual Property Organization has awarded Joshua the certificate of Intellectual Property law. Throughout his studies, Joshua has acted as an intern at Charness, Charness & Charness, and we are pleased to have him as an Articling student (Stagier). He has grown into the more difficult tasks placed before him and we look forward to the day he is called to the Bar.. Joshua is an integral part of the Charness, Charness & Charness team.
